previously taken by animal control officers. good afternoon. i'm don scott. . >> i'm jessica kartalija. >> people are expressing their shock over a disabled woman being attacked by her own pit bull inside her home. wjz is live. rochelle richie has more on what we learned today. good afternoon, rochelle. >> reporter: good afternoon. well, it's just a horrific storl s with the baltimore city health department said the dog attacked the owner an her grandson back in april. >> neighbors of terry douglas killed after being mauled by her pit bull are left stunned. >> i've seen the lady before. she was always really nice, pled neighbor. >> douglas suffered and was boo a wheelchair raised the dog since it was a puppy. >> when you raise it from its young you never expect something like that to happen. me having

dogs of my own i never experienced nothing like that. it's just sad. >> baltimore city police were call today this home early saturday morning after douglas was killed. according to reports the woman had a significant wound on her cheek after being bit by the dog before. earlier this year health officials say the dog bit her grandson after he went to pick up food that had fallen on the floor. the dog was quarantined for 10 days be but the owner was adamant about getting the dog back. owners are surprised it turned out to be douglas's worst nightmare >> really sad. she was a nice lady. >> reporte city police shot the dog with a tranquilizer and he later died. >> 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs every year. a towson university student is in the hospital after being robbed and stabbed near the campus. it was just before

talk about the low temperatures in just a minute. take a look at what's going on right now. we're sitting in the 40s for most spots from hagerstown east. 43 at the airport. looking at 30s out in western maryland. 32 oakland and 39 degrees in cumberland. 24 hours ago we were looking at temperatures ranging anywhere from 5 to 11 degrees cooler than we were this time yesterday. our low temperature today came in at 32 degrees at the airport. we saw some 20s out there as well. we're going to see more chilly weather tomorrow. let's go out back to marty with those details for us. marty. >> reporter: thank you very mu. hi, everybody. had to break out the scarf. its needed today. tomorrow still below normal but temperatures are actually going to start to rise a bit back towards normal, which is about 60 degrees. breezy and milder. i think this is going to be the head line. there's a pool cool of air that

we've got a little bit of sunshine out there but it was a cool start to the day today. temperatures around 32 degrees at the airport, up into the 40s

now. sitting at 43 degrees in baltimore. we're still seeing 30s in western maryland. that includes oakland at 39 degrees. our future cast temperature trend is not going to take us of the 30s for the rest of the day. in the over night it's not going to be as chilly as it was last night, the morning won't be as chilly either. it will still be in the low 40s. in the afternoon up into the mid 50s we will go. it will be a milder day into tuesday. not for today. we have the northeast winds still pulling in that brisk canadian air. we have increasing cloud coverage out there. that's not going to help us warm up any throughout the day today. high pressure in control. notice those clouds starting to increase from west to east. we'll see some rainfall make its way into our
